I have totally fallen in love with this Turmeric & Ginger Latte. It is everything I ever wanted in a hot drink. Not only does it taste amazing, but it has many healing properties.
There is ginger, turmeric and cinnamon in this latte. One of the reasons it’s so healing is that all three of those spices have amazing anti-inflammatory properties. This is what creates such a soothing and nurturing drink!
Did you also know that turmeric is also incredibly great for stiff joints and also boosting your immune system? This means that if you’re fighting a sore throat, cough or cold, this latte will actually help!
I have added coconut oil as an option, but I definitely recommend it because it adds a great source of fat!
To summarize, this latte is fully loaded with everything you need. It is nurturing, delicious and healing! Count me in!
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 mejool date, pitted
- Fresh ginger
- In a small sauce pan on medium heat, add coconut milk, turmeric, cinnamon and coconut oil. Whisk and bring to a low boil.
- Transfer to a blender with the date and fresh ginger (I use a ½ inch x ½ inch square of ginger).
- Blend on medium to high speed until combined.
- Serve and enjoy!
